Trying to take my windshield apart to replace the glass. I have drilled out the screws in the corners ( rusted tight) . I know their is a metal bracket that slides in the inside of the frame that these screws go through.I've drilled the screws out to the point I'm almost through the other side of the frame!I,ve used a block of wood and a hammer to try and slide the bottom of the frame off, it won't budge! Am I missing something?

Try heating it a little and spraying WD40 in the area of the holes you drilled out then do the hammer and block of wood . just did mine and put a new seal in, used KY jelly to put the seal and the glass back together, worked like a dam, washed off all the excess, and looks like a professional job, just m,y way and opinion ..:)

I got the windshield frame apart, but broke both L brackets were I drilled out the screw, now I have 4 ends of the bracket to try and remove, rusted tight, but I think all is savable
