I wanted to take it to a local car show and heard this horrible crunching noise in first and second gear. Third gear was fine and i was able to get out of my driveway in reverse wtih no problems.
I need to find someone, local, that can replace my transmission, clutch, pilot bearing, thrust bearing, and pressure plate.
I live in Greenfield, Wisconsin.

A local well-known and respected transmission shop will rebuild your transmission.
NOTE: 'well-known and respected' is a must; Beware! Do your homework regarding this; i.e., owner, original owner if the shop had been sold to the present owner or anyone that operated the shop. If you are persistent and investigate, you will make good friends that will be glad to help you. Take it from someone who had been screwed, blued, and stewed in the past.
Take care!

Check with FlatheadJack Meyers. He’s a legend up that way. He won’t do it but if he doesn’t know someone you may have a challenge.

Thanks to all who gave me some leads to putting my '34' back on the road.
My cousin gave me info on an excellent ****** rebuilder in Cudahy, Wisconsin. He is coming over today to check the damage and see if he has parts or a trans for me. He will also hook me up with someone to do the work. I will keep all informed of the progress and will provide his name and number for anyone in need.

Van Pelts is where I took my '34 transmission for a complete rebuild. Their site lists how to ship. For me, it was an easy 1 hour drive. Great work by honest experts!
