I have a 1934 Ford Pickup that I'm putting back together. I need some help, I have a steering column drop housing that is not usable but is complete. I have a good housing that is bare. I want to swap the guts (key cylinder, switch and the switch lever assembly. I can not figure how to get the pin out of the lever assembly. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

That orig pin should have splines. You need to grip it with a pair of small 4" vise grips(That is what I do) Then pry it up with something bracing against the vise grips and column drop housing.

I gripped the pin straight on with a needle nose vise grips and then pried against the tip of the vise grips with a straight slot screwdriver to pull the pin out.

I grab em with the little vise grips and the tap the shoulder(?) of the vise grip with a hammer. They usually come out fairly easy.

Thank you that worked!! Swapped all the guts over and installed in the truck. Thanks again
