I felt very fortunate to have found a set of 1933 1934 Ford Roadster seat side pans. They were manufacture by California Metal Shapers back in the 80's. The rust on them is very light and no pitting. It will remove very easily. They cover a gap along side the lower seat cushion. If anyone knows more about California Metal Shapers and what they made for the 33 34 Ford roadster please post.

Bill,

It was started by Bill Honda and his son-in-law kept it going after Bill passed away. They also made sheet metal parts for old aircraft and eventually they became the majority of their business. They eventually had to vacate downtown Los Angeles and rather than move the business, they closed its doors.

They produced '32 coupe/roadster rear fenders, door skins for '32 phaeton/roadsters, and patch panels for the raised area around the horizontal holes in the front fenders and for the area around the side curtain rod holes in the top of phaeton/roadster doors, amongst other pieces.

Their products were top notch. I still have a pair of their '32 phaeton rear door skins.

I have a set of those. The finish on them almost appears to be galvanized. I compared them to an original set and they are right on!
