I am doing a frame off restoration of a 5-Window Coupe I bought in 1965, chassis is done except for rear shock arms. Would like a pair of 34's, but told 33's would fit. Ford 33 is 40-18052-A and 34 is 40-18052-B

The A-suffix arm is used with a link with holes for the rubber insulating balls on opposite sides of the link and the B-suffix arm with a link with those holes on the same side. Both with work on your '34, but why settle for second best? In my experience, '33 front arms are widely available and the '33 rear arms much less so and even less so than '34 rear arms.

There appear to be a couple of slightly different (bends) rear 34 shock (-B) arms most likely due to different manufacturers. Some may have cast in part numbers some do not. A matching style pair of rear arms is good.
