1934 Ford Deluxe Three Wimdow Coupe

From a collector’s point of view, this 1934 Ford Deluxe Roadster can sit in a prominent place in any collection. It will undoubtedly draw admiration for visitors, comparable to that of any other car marquee or price point. The Roadster can also be driven around town for fun with friends and family.

History
The most astounding, original 1934 Ford factory sheet metal I have ever seen, was the starting point of this high end, meticulous frame off restoration, of one of the most iconic Fords ever made, certainly my favorite. VIN number indicates it was manufactured in June of ’34. Restoration completed in 2008, it immediately won AACA Junior status, and the next year the coveted AACA Senior Award. Included is the AACA history & emblem, and some past ownership information. Since then, it has been garaged and well taken care of. In the four years of my ownership, I have continued the refurbishing, upkeep and fine detailing of this fantastic Roadster, as presented to you today.

Exterior
• The black paint is a beautiful, deep black mirror in immaculate condition, with correct Tacoma Cream pin striping. Even the underneath surfaces of the floors, fenders, hood are painted and finished like the topside, smooth, highly polished and waxed.
• The undercarriage is like that of a brand new car rolling out of the assembly line. As typical with buying or selling a classic car, there is always the question: what does it look like underneath? Well I am proud to include a full set of photos of such, and encourage buyers to go under there and check it out for yourself, and bring your camera, to see all the details of a body off restoration!
• The greyhound on the car is from my collection. It is a real, 91 year old original
• Chrome/stainless is excellent and highly polished, original grille, windshield frame/stanchions, headlights, cowl lights, handles, and horns
• Spare tire lock with original Hurd key, locking Ford Script gas cap, 3” peep mirror
• Glass is perfect, with Ford Safety bugs on the windshield, back window and on the wind wings, of which I added Rose etchings

Mechanics
• Reliable, super running 1934 24 stud flathead is smooth and strong, the car starts right up, drives great and is reliable. Running with a correct rebuilt Stromberg 48. Photos show a new, British made Stromberg 97, you decide which you prefer
• The ’34 Transmission is solid, shifts well and doesn’t pop out of second gear, as many of them do
• Running with a set of correct Champion 7 spark plugs, in the original packaging
• Has its original set of engine pans in place, which are rarely still on the car
• All the lights and electrical work, as well as the horns, yes the vacuum wiper works.
• Steering box filled with John Deere corn head grease for smoother operation
• Five Firestone Deluxe Champion tires with full tread, black powder coated rims with correct Schrader valves
• New Optima battery and I just did an oil change
• Stock mechanical brakes and suspension work as they did originally

Interior
• Correct LeBaron Bonney leather interior is very clean and comfortable, I did the correct walnut burl wood graining, and also did an extra standard glove box door and an ash tray. So the new owner can mix and match, remove the glove box clock, remove the ash tray radio and replace with standard items. Reluctantly, I am also including the Ultra Rare, working Sandoz Glove Box Clock, (I was offered $5k for it), dual Temp/Gas gauge, dual Amp/ Oil Chex gauge, ash tray radio, Deluxe speedometer (when I bought the car, I set it to zero miles, so I could keep track of how many miles I drove it, which as of today is 263 miles), cigar lighter, original 1934 Chicago World’s Fair gear shift knob, (made out of soybean), seatbelts, electrical kill switch on the floor, original Hurd ignition key
• The convertible top is in mint shape, made of the correct Olive Drab T14 fabric that is no longer available. The irons are in perfect alignment and brilliantly chromed, oak bows all proper, and the top folds down correctly into the well, and hidden with correct dust boot
• What a special added bonus of a full set of side curtains, made at the same time as the convertible top with the same correct material, AND includes the rare curtain irons! All stowed on a custom fit pouch
• The rumble seat is the correct vinyl, with proper accessory pouch on the passenger side

Other Items
• The Roadster is titled, registered (with modern plates) and insured with Hagerty in my name
• Included with the Roadster: a pair of CA DMV clear 1934 License plates, the original radio box, which worked in 2014 when I took it out of a ’34 Five Window, a collection of original 1934 Owner’s Manuals and documents, (some pamphlets are reproductions), a full set of 1934 Ford tools, 1930’s Ford tire pump, a standard radiator cap so you can take the greyhound off so it doesn’t get stolen, custom fit soft car cover
