1934 Ford Coupe Roll Up Rear Window

I have a 34 Ford Standard Coupe trunk car; the car has a roll up rear window and all indications are that it is original to the car. However, a friend also has a 34 Ford Standard Coupe trunk car but his does not have the roll up rear window. So, my question: did Ford have a criterion as to which cars received the roll up rear window and which cars did not?

As a note, reviewing Ford Barn’s threads, about this subject, it states several times, that all 33 and 34 Ford Coupes came with the roll up rear window for ventilation purposes. I am sure there is a good explanation why my friend’s car, and probably others, do not have the roll up rear window.

Thanks,
Mike

Yup, when i did my 34 three window coupe I made a wood frame to hold the glass, upholstery and garnish molding. It looked stock but no roll down window. JMO

The restoration book says all the Coupes Std or Dlx, trunk or rumble had the roll down rear window.

I just done a pile of miles inmyn 34 3w coupe, the roll down rear window is greats I put it about 2 inches down and with. the scuttle vent opens. one. the first click it is very nice.
But a pain to do while the move as the handle is on the right side ,same as me the driver, so its a bit of twisting to reach while driving.
