Hi lads I'm in need of a Flathead 6 blade fan with a 1" extension on it, anybody have for they would like to part with? Cheers BIG MIKE

Mike as I have told you for years this is what you need. This is a 6 blade industrial fan I modified along with a ford truck shrowd for my 39 P/U. This truck will run at a fast idle for over 2 hours on a 95 degree day and never get to 180. If the engine is raced slightly the temperature comes down. I don't know who made the blade I found it in the attic at Schramm air compressors old parts department. This moves more air and sounds like the 4 bladed fan. The Old Ford 6 blades make a lot of noise and don't move as much air. I have some Ford 6 blades with different hub lengths. I'll look tomorrow and see what I have. Email me so I don't forget if you want one, you can have it. G.M.

Picture didn't post with last post. G.M.

Mike try looking for a generator mounted fan from an old Schramm air compressor or an old stationary Ford engine. I know the Schramm had a BIG fan because I have a complete compressor I restored years ago. Larger radiator, better fan and a shrowd is what you need. G.M.

My Schramm parts book for theModel 60 compressor lists the following;
FUE-731 Fan Assy. (51-8600-C17) The Ford # is a 1936 truck fan,6 blade,17"
It also lists the following;
FUE-731-C Blade, this is a Schramm p/n

A fellow by the name Frank McBride in Fort Worth,Tx. had all the old Schramm parts stock. Don't know if he is still living or has the parts any more. Worth a try. Phone #was (817) 370-2039

GM thats the type of Fan I need , I have the Shourd, but need the larger rad . looking forward hearing from you . Mike

Gary, Frank worked for Schramm as their sales manager out west. Dick Schramm either gave or sold a lot of parts to Frank. Dick told me there were 4 or 5 large dumpsters filled with NEW V/8 blocks, engine parts and compressor parts that went to the dump. They gave me all the old parts books. The only thing Schramm has is a list of the serial numbers and year the Ford compressor was made. I talked to Frank a few years ago but not lately. G.M.

I just Noticed thier are ORBS in this pic, ORBS are Spirits of People who past on, could it be the Soldiers who fought in my vehicle?
