Is there a source for a housing other than vintique, got one the other day and it was pure crap, any other ideas for this setup? Thanks

Try Baxter Ford in Lawrence ,KS or Early Ford Store in San Dimas,CA 909-305-1955.They I'm sure have originals. They are the same from Model A -1939 I believe.

Do you need the entire thing ? The switch is kinda part of it . I probably have one . If you don't find one send a PM and I'll look fer 1 . David J

I dont think 38-39 will work properly for a 33. In 38 ford put the dipswitch down on the floor....and the switch housing only works in 2 positions. up to 37, it works in 3 positions.

The man asked about the housing only. The wiring yes is different .The body or switch housing is all the same from 1928-1939.In 32 the lower housing or cover(the part that the wiring goes through) was shortened to clear the engine pan. That cover is 1 3/4" in length overall. That was continued into early 35.Later in 35 the cover used was like the Model A -2 1/4" overall. You need to get the bail that corresponds to your switch /cover assy when you find it.

Found this but it is missing part of the switch . It is 33 and if you think you can use it you can have it fer da small flat rate shipping fee of $5.00 . I'm willin ta give it ta ya but I aint willin ta pay ta give it away :D I'll keep lookin as there should be more in the mess somewhere . Pretty much only 33-34 stuff around here so it should be the right one . David J This is the 1 3/4 one that deuce lover talked about .

Hi, I have a nos light switch housing and wiring for a '38. Think the housing is the same for '33 but not 100% sure. I can send you pics if you'd like. I also have several original used ones from '34s which I know are the same as '33s. Let me know. Thanks, Doug.

Did not the floor dimmer switch start in 1937 and a "jewel" indicator on the dash??? and therefore only one headlight position in the switch???

Here in New Zealand, 38's were the first to have the dipswitch on the floor, and a hi-beam jewel indicator on the dash. Maybe American cars were different? The switch 'body' was different in that it only allowed one position for headlights, and one for park.
