Hi Guys -
Do any of you have any experince with broken Rocker arm in the fuel pump.
I replaced an old unknown brand fuel pump last year with a new metal bowl style pump from Mac’s.
A week ago my car would not start and I found that the rocker arm was broken at the pivot point. Is this just a one time bad product or is there a cause to the broken Rocker arm that I should be aware of?

If your push rod is to long then yes it will brake it ,there's a specified length just over 1/4 travel or two 10ths ? Ted

Hi Ted -
Thx., I'm aware of the lift and its with in the specs you mention, but the lenght of the pushrod I'm not sure about.
The engine is an early 33, 21 stud, I have meassured the pushrod lenght to 8-17/67" (21 cm).
What is the actual specs for the pushrod, do you know?

It's not the vintage of the engine that matters, but rather the compatibility of the intake manifold, push rod, and fuel pump stand given that you are using a non-'33 fuel pump.
