According to the EFV8 club's 1933/34 restoration guide on page 6-13, the difference was not so much with year of production, but whether the car was a Deluxe or Standard model. The Deluxe cars had 4 digit trip odometers and Standards had 3 digit.

Larry, Regarding speedometers I believe when re-setting short trip nos. roll back 1/10 at a time whereas deluxe the entire short trip rolls back to zeros all at one time. If I'm wrong on this someone is sure to correct me. Elmer Swift

thanks for the information above. I have a '33 standard with a 3 digit trip odometer but I have been able to roll back to zeros all at one time.

I correct my above reply. The digits roll back one column at a time and remain on zero until all three columns are zero.
