1933-34 Luggage rack brackets.

Are the 1933-34 Luggage rack brackets forged or cast?
I assume forged but you never know.

Neither, they were heavy stampings.

Side mount and rear mount are different

And the Canadian racks are unique, as are the Australian racks for rear mounted spare tires and side-mounted spare tires, as Graham notes.

Mine are just like the unpainted ones you show here, the general shape and the beefed up "edge" by the mounting bolt hole led me to the initial question.

The unpainted ones are for a sidemount vehicle.
Rear mount are entirely different and require longer bumper irons and stiffening plates back to the chassis.
