1932 rear axle spring perch ball

I am in the process of having my early 32 rear axle being rebuilt. Both axle halves rear spring perch ball are badly corroded. Is there any way of rebuilding them? Are the ones available for the model A a suitable replacement?
Thanks for any help or advice offered.
 
I believe if you look on the oposite side of the spring hanger from the ball you will see it is bradded into the housing like a 34. Grind that off and drive the ball out and it should leave a tapered hole that you can put a ball from a later shock link in and bolt it or brad it.
