how rare are 1932 long point window handles. were they chrome or stainless? i have a few that need reconditioned and trying to decide if it would be worth having it done or just try to find ones in better condition?

Original long-point handles, especially those that operate the door latches, are very hard to come by in usable condition. The originals were nickel-plated zinc die castings and most eventually cracked where the square shank of the operating mechanism inserted into the end of the handle.

These appear to be for the window winders and they were on a 1932 sedan I parted out. 1 has the knob the other 2 are missing the knobs and they do appear to be die cast with most of the finish gone. Not sure the value to put on these. i have not seen any of these listed before on any of the sites.

There have been some listed on eBay very recently and in the past by someone in California. They remain unsold likely by virtue of their very high price.

well keeps saying the upload failed.
Do you have an email that I could send the pictures to and maybe you could take a look and give me an idea on their value. Your help would be greatly appreciated..
Thanks

Upload fail usually means the file is too big. easiest way to cut it down is to right click on the photo and select email. Then when the email draft opens, save the attachment under a new name and delete the email draft. The new file you saves should be small enough to upload.

The photo is such that I can't tell much about their condition in terms of pitting of the die casting. Assuming that there are no cracks where the handle slides over the shank of the window regulator mechanism, I'd put their value at $35 to $40 each. I base that on the fact that until very recently one could purchase perfect nickel-plated reproductions in high-strength bronze for $375 (two window cranks with new deluxe knobs and two inside door handles).
