I am the 4th owner. As the story goes, the car was originally purchased in Madera California and stayed with the same owner in Mariposa, CA until 1958. The second owner was a Gas Station owner in Fresno, CA. He kept the car until his passing in 2001, the 3rd owner bought the car from the family, but never moved the car from the 2nd owner's barn until shorlty before I bought the car.

The ODO shows 37,415 miles, which by the looks of the fenders, etc, could be accurate. The car was repainted and upholstered in the late 70's...and other than 40 Ford brakes, appears to be very original. I plan to put 16" Kelseys, but that's about it for now.

Have you heard about the "Rouge" class for vehicles in the Early Ford V8 club judging? You might want to look into it before you get started.

Very nice find!

Does it still have the original V-8 with the Detroit Lubricator carb, tall coil etc. Oh shoot....Just post a picture of the motor and I won't have to ask so many questions! :o :D

Thanks,
Pat

Probably, but we haven't seen the engine yet. I would need to bone up on the Rouge class to be sure.

That's not gonna help the cause...

From what I can tell it is a 32 block (straight down petcocks and solid between timing cover and motor mounts). With all later parts bolted on, this would lead me to believe the engine had been rebuilt at some point?

This car is far from factory correct. What it is, is a very nice starting point for a guy that wants an early Ford V8 driver...specifically a 32 Ford V8. I am not a 100 point restoration kinda guy...but I like really solid old cars. The fenders on this car are amazing...I cannot find a single repair. I plan to fix the funky stuff on the car (like the electric fuel pump), then make a few upgrades that I want...like a Columbia rear, Lincoln brakes, etc...and then enjoy it with my family.
