I got this running board...supposed to be 32 Ford, but I don’t know...

Anyone know what the deal is with the "made in argentina"?... or is it even a 32 ford running board?

It’s got a number on it too... 1816****....which would be a 32 number right?...

One way to tell it's a repro is the lack of "bonding" holes that are present on original boards. The rubber would poke thru these holes when it was vulcanized to the running board.

We all agree that these are 1932 Argentina reproduction running boards. What surprises me is that the rubber stayed on them this long. In about 1973 I bought motor mount cushions and distributor dust boots for my '40, Argentina mfg. The distributor boots cracked open when I slid them over the distributor caps and the motor mount cushions split when the weight of the engine hit them. The old ones in the trash didn't look so bad after that happened. One of my experiences from back then. Funny now.
