1932 Ford Rear Fenders

Two side notes:

The fender opening width varies among those various bodies, so if you are using an original used fender the patina line may be different, though the fender itself is the same.

The sedan series (tudor, fordor, victoria, sedan delivery) use the same fender (again with differing patina lines) and are a subset of the coupe fender, so a (repop) coupe fender can easily be trimmed to fit the sedan series.

Karl,

To complete the list of '32 passenger car rear fenders, the B-400 (convertible sedan) rear fenders were unique in that they were same as the sedan rear fenders, but without the rearmost fender-to-body attachment hole.

Thanks for the responses. I thought they were the same, but I was talking to a fellow over the weekend that had me thinking maybe I had lost my mind. Thanks again.

While not an absolute prerequisite, having lost ones mind is strongly recommended before entering this hobby/vocation.

Two more side notes

And an original OEM coupe/roadster rear fender can also easily be trimmed to fit the sedan series.

Since we're talking about 32 fender interchangeability, this reminds me of an incident that involved a 32 roadster that a friend bought for $12K in the early 70's. A good price at that time. It looked like a complete, finished, well done street rod with 4 NOS fenders. Turns out that the rear fenders were in fact NOS sedan versions that were reworked to fit the roadster. The fronts were also NOS but welled fenders with the wells removed and ample bondo used to cover marginal metal work. He found out the hard way when the left frame rail fractured at the front crossmember causing an accident. He was not hurt but the car was wrecked, the body was twisted, hood, grill, fenders all damaged. The damage to the fenders revealed the earlier modifications. He went into a funk that lasted a while.
