1932 Ford Hood

Hey guys have a question here. I was told this is a '32 Ford Hood but had someone tellin me it isn't. So what is this hood off?

'32 hood does not have a hinge pin in the top joint. Each side has a fancy "curly cue" arrangement shaped along the length of the edge and then there's a stainless piece that runs along the top with its edges rolled into a semi circle shape. That shape slides lengthwise into the sides.
 
It has 19 louvers like a 28/29 Model A hood but I can't see the details well enough to confirm that. You might ask the guys on the Model A board. They could give you the dimensions to check. I think the center hood rod is 27 3/4" long if I remember correctly.

Not a 28/29 Hood, I have a 29 Ford Pickup and it doesn't line up with the cowl, the hood is bigger. I tried it on our 31 Model A coupe and the lines don't match, so I'm kinda complexed here.

I have two (model a ford) 30/31 and they both look like that one, only in better condition:) !
Note: lines won't 'match' up if cowl and/or rad shell are not right.

I thought it looked a little wide. If it's that wide it may be from another manufacturer other than FoMoCo. Maybe a truck of some sort. The 30/31 Model A hoods look different.
 
Check the height of the front against that '29 pickup...see if it is the right size at front for the '29 radiator and close to the correct length. If it matches up except for the bigger cowl area, start investigating '28-9 fourdoor sedan and Cabriolet as possible origin.
 
Those 28/29 fordoor & cabrio covered cowl set ups usually had a belt line that extended into the hood. The hood in question doesn't appear to have that feature.
 
I think it is a mis-shapened 28-29 hood. The left side top looks flattened...probably why it doesn't fit the cowl and appears too big.

Thanks for all the help and I forsure will try it on my 29 and see. I tried it on the 31 Coupe and the lines didn't even come close so I know its not a 30/31 forsure.
