1932 Ford Gurus: Windshield question

I've got a windshield frame for a sedan but the lower bar is pretty rotten, like most of them are. Repros from Macs are really expensive but repros for the 3 window are cheaper. My question is: Is the bottom bar between a sedan/5 window frame and a 3 window the same? If so I'll buy a cheaper 3 window repro frame and use its bottom bar. I know the rest of the frame is different between the two. See the pic for clarification of what I mean.

WS frames are reasonable if you go to the horse's mouth. There is a mfg in NY that will ship direct to you, I am sure someone will chime in with a ph no and address. I have forgotten since it has been about three years since I got one for my tudor and it was quality!

The 5W & sedan windshields do not interchange with a 3W.3W's are totally different breed.Walter Trautwein is the Mfg and I think his son took over.Tel 518-677-3385.

I have been told you can't mix the original frames and the aftermarket ones because how they are made in the lower corners. Not sure this is 100% true but something to ask when buying. John
