1932 ford ammeter

You might try placing a "wanted" ad on this site as well as on earlyfordv8.org and HAMB. If you are in a big hurry try calling the various V8 suppliers. Start with Baxter's Ford Parts. All of the modern ammeters are a larger diameter, I don't know but wonder if the Model A ammeter could be made to fit (although it wouldn't look correct)?

I compared my Model A ammeter (on right) with a '32 ammeter (on left) and the Model A is about an eighth of an inch smaller in diameter making it a poor candidate. Ignore the fact that it looks bigger in the picture, just an optical illusion. Remember when you start calling the suppliers what you need will not be in their catalog but just one sitting on the shelf. Maybe you could find someone to rebuild yours? Whatever you do just please don't enlarge the hole in your dash. By the way, what is wrong with the one you have?
