Can someone tell me the correct length for 1932 front and rear brake rods.

Thanks in advance,
Drew

Assuming that you mean for a LHD chassis with a single cross shaft, the fronts rods are 50 7/8" and the rear rods are 56 1/2" measured from the center of the clevis pin hole to the end of the threads.

David your assumption is correct! Thank you for the info!! I've been told that '33 and '34 brake rods are the same, with the exception of the length (longer) is this correct? Thanks in advance.

Yes, they are the same except for the length. If they are original rods, however, the threads on the ends are rolled in, not cut in. This means that you cannot simply cut a '33-'34 rod and run a threading die on it as the diameter of the rod is too great to accomplish that. If they are non-Ford aftermarket rods, the threads are cut and not rolled so you can simply cut them and re-thread them.

If you examine the threaded end of a rod and look at where the threads terminate at the unthreaded rod you will be able to tell if the threads are rolled or cut. In the case of rolled threads, there is a short depressed section without threads. In the case of cut threads, the threads simply end. Another telltale of an original rod is that the end where the clevis pin is inserted is obviously forged whereas those ends on aftermarket rods are obviously not forged.
