Pull the seat bottom out and remove the screws holding the runners to the base. Remove the screws holding the adjuster to the base. I forget if there is a curtain going from the frame top to the package tray. It has been almost 60 years.
Thanks, all correct. Yes, the top of the seat back is connected to the package tray to prevent items falling into the gap that would exist without it in any seat position except in the extreme rear.
