1932 3W coupe

I am working on a rumble seat car with the remote latch assembly I have looked everywhere for some details. I am trying to figure out or need a picture of how the rod attaches to the latch. I don't understand why it's on an angle and not flat any help would be great appreciated

One note of caution is the handle shown in the upper right hand corner of the second set of photos is the '33-'34 version. The '32 version lacks the flutes on the sides of the handle.

Must be some variation on the mounting for the latch itself; the mount on my kid's coupe appears to be spot welded on the body structure instead of a separate bracket as shown in posts 3&4.

My biggest issue is I have the rod like in 2nd set of pictures 2nd one down all the way to the right that has the offset toward the handle. When it's attached to the handle it's at an angle inside of flat on the side that connects to the latch is there a reason? Because I think I will have to flatten it to make it bolt up any thoughts?

Is there anything in these pictures of the rod that may help you sort out your dilemma. Of course. this rod could be bent, too

The Rumble seat handle shown in 'rich b' photo are they being reproduced as it is not shown in DavidG book so I fitted a Tee type handle to my 3/W rumble seat latch same as the rear window handle because I thought that was the correct one.
