With all these postings here is a social group really necessary?
IMHO, the social groups splinter and fragment the information flow about our cars. With all these postings here is a social group really necessary?
Bill,
I would have to disagree. What information has been fragmented?
Fish are all in the ocean but form schools.
Actually it is useful for like minded people to know each other and share information.
People who want or 'need' to join will do so.
You can decide for yourself whether it is a benefit or a liability, but you don't have the 'right' to decide for others by campaigning against it. It is no skin off your nose.
Are you against Postal Truck groups, Station Wagon groups, etc for the same reasons?
Mike,
Yes, for the reason above. If it is not necessary to you, then ignore it.
Does the fact that Model A-related information is scattered across a dozen or more forums mean anything BUT fragmented?Bill,

To expand on your analogy: can the fish swim in more than one school at a time? Probably not.Fish are all in the ocean but form schools.
As for "campaigning against" their use, I suspect that is my right. If nobody agrees, I lose. If others do, perhaps changes could and should be made. In fact I offered a solution that would suit me just fine and would affect no-one else. But getting it implemented is probably close to zero.Actually it is useful for like minded people to know each other and share information.

I wana join....I have a 1932 Toro tractor w/Model B, used on golf course to pull 5 gang reel mowers and haul sand to sand traps....also a hopped up 4 banger in my RPU...Thomas head-mallory-burns downdraft-alumn water pumpand timing gear cover, etc....also a Model B Smith compessor...and several other B motors
I'm delighted to find this exclusively model B site but slightly confused about where to post this need (already did so somewhere else not too far away).
I do need both of the B-6042 special bolts that fasten the radius rod bracket to the flywheel housing. Any ideas?
Thanks for any thoughts.
