Does anyone know what the proper name for these pieces? Is anyone making them new? I know where and how they are installed but they are very hard. If anyone has a picture of the proper placement I would appreciate it. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fabricate new ones let me know. I have some ideas floating around my pea size brain but I’m always open to experience

I've seen those made out of wood. I don't think anyone has reproduced them. The rubber seal that goes around the glass gives it enough cushion with the wood ones

That’s what I’m thinking, or gluing layers of sheet rubber, or just reinstalling what I have

Are the ones you have made of wood, or a hard rubber/plastic of some kind?

If rubber/plastic they would lend themselves relatively easily to a 3D print using a flex filament.

They're basically tack strips used to round off the corners on closed cars.
This allows you to wrap the upholstery material around the corner and fill the gap next to the garnish molding. You can make your own out of anything that will hold a tack or staple.
