1931 Title Needed

I had the same problem. I went to the DMV and ask their
advice. I was told to apply for a bonded title which I did
and recieved a a title for the correct year and model.
This was in Tx The only difference from an original title
is that it has a notation "Bonded" on it. I think that this is
the most trouble free and honest way to do it.

Do the work to get the title for your vehicles. Too many things can go wrong if you are using a title to another. If your in an accident you may find yourself uninsured as your vehicles serial number doesn't not match the insured vehicle. What if the actual vehicle you purchased the tilter to shows up? There is a can of worms. Do it the right way, don't be lazy.

Good advice from everyone. Heck, not only are the states all different, but the individual counties are different-----not to mention badly informed personnel
at the DMV. Back in '03 when I owned a motor scooter retail store, some of my customer's came to me and complained that they couldn't get their scooters titled because the supervisor at the DMV didn't know what an MSO was so I had to go
down and "splain" it to them. It got so bad that I just made it a practice to automatically go down with the customer to get the paperwork done. GOOD LUCK!
