1931 Steering Column Bracket Paint Color

I'm going to install a 1931 steering column bracket on my 1930 Tudor to ensure the original support bracket never creates a leak. My question is should the bracket be painted black or interior paint color?

I think black or the dash color would look fine. Since it isn't original, I'd go with what you think would look best.
Someone put the 31 bracket in my 29 Tudor and as I recall it was painted puke green to match the rest of the car.

The book says black for the late 31 steering bracket. all others would be painted lower body color. If the 1931 steering bracket was used on earlier model A's it wouldn't matter because it won't be considered original. Your choice is all that matters in such cases.
