I am trying to put the original door latches and dove tails back in a coupe that someone butchered and put bear claw latches in and was hoping someone could help with some photos of placement for them(male and female dovetails, and how the interior door handle installs and the strike plate for the latch. I bought all new pieces from Mac's and now im going to try to convert it back this weekend.
Thanks,
Eric

thanks that definatly helps! The striker plate hole has been filled in so I have to cut that back out and then figure how the female dovetail goes back in the door, or what I have to remove to make it work again.

I think its still there, I just think someone has welded a piece over it to fill in the hole. I am going to try to just drill in the center were I think it should be and see if its still there. How does the inside door handle work? I bought new latches, rods and handles but haven't started to install yet. How does the rod attach to the latch I don't see anywhere it would connect on it and does it turn to open the door cause it has a screw that holds the handle in place. I hate to sound so much like a newby but like to get as much info before I rip into something.
Thanks again

Thanks,
That helps a lot, how does the rod for the inside door attach to the latch thou, I still don't see that, I have a new latch and rod here but were I would think they attach it does go in the latch any where. The rod has a long slot on the end for the latch does it attach direct to it or to some where else on the door, Just making sure im not missing any parts.

Since you have a 31 the latch may be different than mine. My rod has an offset that has no direct connection, but pushes against the flap shown in my picture.

Thanks for all the help got to get the door parts on tonight and it all worked out nice, but the strike plate mount and cut out were it sits was gone but after a little work got everything to close nice and smooth and stay closed tight, just have to make one more piece and its done.
Thanks again for all the help.
Eric
