I just bought a vicky and on the front seats there is a rod that holds the seat in place and would like to know what kind of nuts for on the ends of it and if there is spacers so the seat stays centered in the brackets or does it just move around or maybe they have the brackets installed wrong....give a old man a clue....thanks guys...Spike in jackson Mi

The "nuts" are the same as the windshield swing arm nuts.
On the bottom of the seat, near the front, you should have a tube going all the way across, welded to a strip of sheet metal that bolts to the wood bottom. The rod goes through the tube. This allows the seat to tilt forward for rear seat access.

I would like to suggest and invite you join the Victoria Association. The fee is only $10 per year. You will receive four newsletters a year and also be able to purchase all the back issues to 1986. The back issues have a world of information about the Victoria. There is also a book available that is also informative. Your car will also be registered in the data base as a known existing Victoria.

Contact me at tendy@socal.rr.com and I will put you in touch with the membership director.

+1 for Tom Endy's suggestion. The Association has two looseleaf notebooks available to purchase that contain a wealth of information that is both unique to Vicky's, and goes into greater detail for "typical" A's.

Speaking of a Vicky, saw some body parts for a '31 recently(pics). The rear passenger 1/4 section could almost be mounted on a shop wall.
Is a Victoria unique(versus other models), or does that model just have a more dedicated fan-base(Victoria Assoc.)?

thanks guys for the come back.....I will be getting ahold of the vicky group and getting regestered. This car was restored 28 yrs ago and was fine pointed and received a 3rd so it is a pretty nice ride but a few things dont seem right and that is why I ask...thanks again Spike

The Victoria's had limited production, compared to other models, with some items that were unique to the body stile. The number of these cars, now remaining, has not created the demand for these parts that would justify reproduction.
An example is the rain gutter itself and the associated molding that is attached to the body, and the gutter snaps into. I believe it and many patrs unique to the Vicky are constructed from "unobtaineum". ;o)

The rods that hold the front seats in place can be made from 1930-31 radiator support rods. Keep the bolt head and cut to length by removing rod from the threaded end. Cut new threads to match the threads in the knob.

I hate to pass up important/useful pieces. Could someone actually use just a quarter of a Vicky body(only room I have left in the truck)? Always tough(and usually unwise) to speculate on bigger 'A' parts(my wife notices them). Bruce

SURE! Too bad we are 3,000 miles away. :(
