1930 Tudor Visor query

For as long as I've had this car, I never noticed the round holes in the visor. I don't think they should be original, any thoughts on what they might be for? Anyone seen this before? Unfortunately didn't notice it till the car visor was painted and mounted on the body after restoration. Now have to take it off and have the holes filled (unless there is a purpose for them)

If its the ones on the end you are asking about. they are supposed to be there they attach to the windsheild post with screws

I see the holes you are talking about. Were they there for the upholstery cover that some cars have on the visor??? I really don't know.

I think that I see a row of round holes in front of the slotted holes that the top material and molding tacks or nails go through. This is not original. I have seen this before, where somone installed a piece of metal on the top, in place of the cobra grain material that originally covered the roof. This would have been an attempt to stop leaks by covering the area that the molding was attached.

Thanks for the help. Wish I would have seen them before I had it painted (didn't have my old folk glasses on at the time I guess). Easy fix, just a shame to have to redo.

When I restored my 30 cpe there was no wood header above the WS.A previous owner had pulled the top material over to the visor & fastened it with sheet metal screws& the WS hinge was mounted with stove bolts instead of wood screws. It was a car that some one patched up in the 50s to keep it on the road. The rear 2 ft of the sub frame was repaired by useing parts of a model T frame!
