1930 sedan instrument panel removal

new guy here.

question is how to remove instrument panel without affecting the gas gage lever & float.

I need to review wiring and inop ammeter before adding my turn lite system and somewhat straightening out the sloppy wiring.

Apparently the car was converted to 12vdc negative ground & an alternator with another (working) ammeter on an added left side sub panel. It also has the ignition swx there.

Removing the instrument panel will not affect the gas gauge.

as the panel goes around not under the gauge.

Anytime I've "played" with the inst panel I DIS-CONNECT the battery. FWIW
