1930 running board question

Okay, I'm confused and need some help. I recently picked up a '30 coupe. On the driver side the running board and side skirt look to be one piece with each other, while on the passenger side they are separate. I know the forward piece of the side skirt is a separate piece on a '30, it's just the running board assembly that's confusing. Is this normal to have different configurations on one car, or do I have a replacement part(s).

My car was like that too when I got it! Maybe they were in the same body shop in side by side bays and the skirts got mixed up. Most likely the farmers and poor folk during the depression used whatever was most convenient and on hand. In 1930 they also used both splash shield - running board configurations.

Replacement part on passenger side. The better repro board for the 1930[upto Nov. 1930] is spot welded board to shield. Original is one piece.Should have 4 round holes for the carriage bolts/nuts to hold inner Zinc trim on board and 5 oval shaped holes for a total of 9 across the board before it cruves up the side apron.
