I have heard some horror stories out there with regard to the fit and finish. Has any one had any experience or purchased one? Interested in getting some feed back. Steve......

Pat, I have not seen one out here in Australia, all I can go on is pictures and there is nothing like seeing something like that first hand.
Many thanks. Steve....

you know, I mis read your post. I was speaking about the repro emblems. regarding the repro shells, my experience is that the fit is poor.

We used a repro emblem on the sedan. It fit fine, but we ordered the bolt on one which makes it easier to install.

Steven, maybe someone will answer your question about a 30 SHELL.

Don't give up.

I bought a 28 shell and it was only so-so, picked thru 4 of em, but for $185 bucks chinese what can one expect?

I have yet to fit it.

No help on your 30, but an input.

A friend of mine helped restore a car with a repro 1930 shell. I saw it, but I did not work with it. I vaguely recall it did not have the nice radius surfaces and edges of an original shell. It was more flat and angular. I don't know how much of a bear it was to fit, but it looked OK once it was on, except for the points mentioned above. It didn't look bad, but a Model A collector would notice the difference.
