1930 p.u. seat spring thickness?

does anyone know how thick the top and bottom seat spring are ? the ones I bought when I was 14 have a plywood backing and seem way to thick compared to ones I have seen at shows. I am not the same size I was at 14.i am almost 64 now and due for something else that is my size. be 50 yrs. in January I bought it for $100.00

Some modify the seat back by eliminating the rear spring. Its a trade off.

Trucks in the gorage don't know about the thickness but there is no wood involved with either spring.

LeBaron Bonney sells a 2" lower profile bottom seat spring for trucks. It works for me!

I made a thinner seat back using 2 inch foam and a piece of 3/4 plywood so my 6 foot tall son could drive it. If you want the original spring setup, Snyder's makes and sells them.
