1930 Model A Pickup Restoration - Bed paint

I am restoring, for MAFCA or MARC judging, a 1930 Model A pickup. I need help determining the correct paint color / combination.

MAFCA’s Model A Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards (rev 4) is the authoritative source club judges use for authenticity & finish details — including paint and wood finish, but I cannot find one to reference. I'd happily buy a copy if I could find one. They show out of stock on the Model A site. \

Does anyone have a Model A Restoration Guidelines & Judging Standards (rev 4) (should be copyright around 2020). If so, could you look at the following:

1️⃣ Go to the Table of Contents first

You are looking for a clearly labeled section called:

Commercial Vehicles

2️⃣ Inside Commercial Vehicles

You will find subsections for:

Pickup – Open Cab

Pickup – Closed Cab

Select Open Cab

3️⃣ Then Look For These Headings

Within the pickup subsection, go to:

Box Assembly

Box (Pickup Box)

Floor – Box

Sometimes simply listed under Body – Commercial

This is where the finish information for:

Bed wood

Bed strips

Box interior panels

Hardware is specified.

They are not out of stock on the MARC site. They were out on the MAFCA site a couple of weeks ago,but not at MARC.And,they are on special at MARC for $20.right now.I just bought another set.

If its 1930 is it the 82A body or the 82B body?

Not that it makes that much difference, but the color variations have more "standard" choices on the later.

Neil Wilson has started addressing the "colors/painting" methodology of the AA bodies (A bodies would be the same) and has started the 82A cab.

But alas. A "Page under construction."

The bed sides and rear did not have a pinstripe or Ford logo painted. The wood was painted the body color (not finished to look like a bowling alley!)

There is no "Commercial Vehicles" in the TOC

FWIW, I’ve heard through the grapevine that Rev 5, a complete revision, is shooting for publication late Spring or early Summer.

I asked on the "other" Model A Forum a few weeks back. We should be expecting the revision about another 10-12 months.

Don't hold your breath....... I got our first A about 3 years ago. I thought about buying the memory stick with the first 50 years of the Restorer on it. Since MAFCA is now 65+ years old I asked about an update. I was told it's in the works and will be finished soon. 3 years and still waiting.
