I have a 1930/1931 gast tank for sale. This tank was in my 31 Victoria when I purchased it. The tank was full of fuel, sludge, rust etc. When I removed the tank from the car it felt like it weighed 100 lbs.
I sent the tank to a ready strip type business here in Florida. The tank sat in their tank for 3 weeks. It is nice and clean on the inside. I epoxy primered the outside of the tank. The choke rod bracket was welded at some point in this tanks past. There is deterioration in the baffels due to the rust but it will not cause a problem with the tank.
If you are interested in the tank please contact me and I will send additional photos. I am asking $200 plus shipping. The shipping is via the cheapest way possible.
Prior to having this tank cleaned I purchased a tank that was in excellent condition for +++$.
I didn't want to junk this tank so I had it cleaned.
