I love this car, but my problem is space. I've got more cars than space allows. Storing one 2.5 hours from me just doesn't make sense as I can't enjoy it. So I am seeing what kind of interest there is for this car. I'm firm on the 15K and cannot entertain trades.

This car was built from parts gathered from the four corners of the United States, the body came from California and had been passed around before I got it. the Top is from Oklahoma and is an original Ford top with a different cloth and window on it. One of the doors came from New York, wheels from here and there and one at a time. You get the point, every piece was selected with love from somewhere else because it fit the cars personality.

The engine is all model A crank, rods, and block. There are new adjustable lifters and a Ford B Cam in there. Mallory dual point, snyders 6.5 head, Cast iron header, single 94 downdraft, and an alternator. the bolt ons are new additions and make the engine run much smoother and really boosted the Torque and horsepower.

The transmission is a '39 style with a 28 tooth cluster and has been recently rebuilt. There is a Clings adapter to place the V8 trans behind the Banger. The V8 trans makes a whole different car out of an A. Much easier to drive.

The Rear end is a '36 with A mounts welded to the top of the bells to keep the Spring over set up. The Gear Ratio is 3:54. The rear was shortened 19-9/16 to fit under the A with no tell tale signs of modification.

The front end is an original Ford A axle that has been dropped, the spring is a reversed eye '29. The tires are 5:50 in the front and 7:50 in the rear on Kelsey Hayes wires.

Brakes are Ford Hydraulic at all four corners with the E-brake hooked up. The shoes, cylinders, and Master are all newer with a dual Mustang master cylinder for added safety.

The car clearly has plenty of character and has been on several runs including the famed Pasadena Reliability Run where it won the "Miracle" trophy. I have driven it for 2.5 hours at 65 MPH and it didn't miss a beat exept for stopping for gas. When it was closer to me I drove it everywhere. It's been lovingly stored and driven on occasion for the last six months+/- so it hasn't sat dormant. The addition of the V8 gearbox and 3:54 rear gears has made a pleasant driver out of it. If you are into Phaetons this is a great one and is ready for many miles of fun. Sure it could use some paint and a new top if that's your style. I love it just like it is but hey that's up to the next guy.

It could use a steering box as it's a little loose, but other than that everything works but the Speedo. Sure it has rattles and squeeks but it's a 82 years old. I hope I'm in this good of shape at 82. Clean title with '29 Plates.
So if your interested I can send you some more photos.

Tim

PS- Women folk love this car and can't hardly stay out of it.
