This is my first Model A build. I have built many cars prior to this but have never worked with this era truck. I will be posting new threads with some questions about assembly. Thanks George

Yea i thought my frame was bad! Glad to see you saved her tho! I wish my cab was in the shape yours was in...

Its got a worm drive and car front axle and the 29 hubcaps... It should have the Budd wheels with the 6 holes in it that are dished in... might run into problems with the fenders with those 30/31 rims on it...

Lookin good. What truck bed are you going to use?

We have an original flat bed in good condition. wood is missing though. looks like it takes 5/4" wood. im assuming they used rough cut lumber back then. The bed will be leaning against the wall for a while though. lol. still have some work to do.

thanks george

Wish I knew you were wanting to do a Double AA...I would of sold you mine and in a lot better condition!

Pluck

We got the frame for free. the engine was recently rebuilt and runs like a watch. Im trying to keep the project within a "normal" budget so i will have to do repairs. It has been patched up and painted. I will post pics of it. Thanks george

Thanks for the advise on the wheels. I have yet to put the fenders on the frame with the 30/31 wheels. i will have to post pics so you guys can shed some light on what issues i may have. I think i really lucked out on the cab. i have seen some here locally in central florida that were rotted away. Keeping the budget i cant justify buying a-pillars and any other sheet metal that i can fix. Surprisingly the sheetmetal parts are relatively cheap.
thanks george

Pass Side cowl. pretty bad shape inside and out. repairable though.

a piece of solid copper flat bar and a mig welder will do wonders on pitted metal. and dont forget the grinder!

George,
I have recently completed a total restoration of a 29 AA and can maybe help with info and photos. You can contact me at maryQ@TDS.net. If your rear axle is 7.25 you'll be cruising at about 25-30 mph.
