1929-1930 engines

I just found out that my 1930 a coupe has an engine made on 7/29.
what is the difference between 1929-1930 engines?

I am not the expert but you will find a shorter water outlet neck in 1929 if it wasn't changed.

Maybe some very small engineering changes like oil dam heitght. Other than the number and the water outlet nothing that would make a difference unless you get into fine point restoration. Then possibly the numbers on the starter and generator bands. Rod

I think the oil return pipe is higher on the 28-29 and if you take the head off there's differences in the water jackets. I'm not positive these changes were done with the start of the 30 run.
