1928 windshield wiper?

What did the early (March) 1928 tudor have for a windshield wiper?
I see no indication of one being on the car, no vacuum hole on intake manifold, no firewall fitting, no holes for wiper mounting. Could it have been hand operated or electric?

Should have been electric, with the holes for mounting drilled through the window frame. Possibly Owen Dyneto motor.

Glenn,

You are correct and if it is a very, very late 1928, it had a Heinze HA-TC1 according to the "bible" (RG&JS).

AW...you have an "early March 1928....

How is it wired? I assume the switch is on the wiper, power from terminal box? I have a couple of brackets with grommets above the passenger kick panel that must be for the wires. The windshield will still open with the wiper installed?
Thanks

Marco has some pictures on his website of the windshield wiper mounting holes for different windshields.

I assume Ironton is up north by the ore fields, but if you are in or near the Twin Cities tonight we are having our monthly clinic meeting at the Brooklyn Center High School cafeteria, starting at 7 PM. That's just a couple blocks northwest of the intersection of 694 and 252. You're invited to drop in.

Tom, I'm 15 miles from Brainerd. Would love to be there but it's a bit far, thanks for the invite. We have a few A's around here but don't seem to be getting together. Working on my 28 and helping a friend with a 29, installing interior now. Don't have any one close for information so I follow most of the posts here, great source of info.
Thanks again.

Bob,
Our Twin Cities Ford Model A Club is planning a driving tour for the Fall of 2011 around the Duluth...North Shore area. We would most likely base out of Duluth and take day trips in different directions each day. If you are interested in joining us let Tom or myself know and we will keep you posted as the event planning matures.
Warning: If you don't like fun...don't plan to attend!
Good Day!

Bodv,
You should have a windshield frame with wiper holes that look like the one in the picture I posted below. Note the holes are asymmetric. The 1928 windshield wiper had an asymmetric set of posts. Most all 28's used an ODC1 wiper. If you have a 1929 windshield frame, you need to get an electric wiper that fits the symmetric holes. Marco has a picture of some windshield frame that have wiper holes shown, but he did not include a 28 windshield frame in his pictures (I think he said he didn't have access to a 28 WS frame at the time he took the pictures). If you would like any more info, PM me.

Dave in MN, I would like that, sounds like fun. Maybe I can round up some others as well. Well have to keep in touch especially as the time nears.

wrndln, I'm not sure what I have, I don't think there are any holes, I think I have a repro frame it was on when I bought the car, it's aluminum. I will take a look this evening when I get home.

You are right bobv...an aluminum frame is a reproduction for your car.
