1928 wheel restoration

go to your local automobile paint supply store, there is a sprayable filler that you harden with a catalyst like used with fiberglass resin.sands fairly easy.just tedious sanding around where the spokes are.depends how dep your pits are,a good quality primer may work.good luck

I prefer to fill wheel pits 'one-by-one' by mixing small amounts of filler and 'finger filling' each of them. I prefer Dynatron's DynaGlass stranded filler because it allows the mil thickness to stay very minimal. It is difficult to sand but with spot application, your efforts are concentrated to just the pitted area. Spray fillers have their place however in my opinion is is very easy to overload a wheel with substrates that will usually cause it to chip during driving and the finish coat likes to "pop off" during tire installation.
