1928 Special Coupe seat modification

Hey Model A'ers,

Is there any practical way to modify the seat on subject vehicle so it will go further back. Really don't care if its adjustable or not... however, a couple more inches would be rather helpful. Willing to modify riser, seat frame and package tray, as long I am not destroying the integrity of the vehicle. Also, would this have any impact on interior finish? Thank you in advance for your responses...

If you have access to a service manual the procedure for altering the parcel shelf between the seat backrest and rear window is explained.
