So when I restored my model A I started with a 28 5 window coup with virtualy no body. I decided to turn it into a 28 roadster pickup. As we all know the coup had the tire mounted on the rear, and the trucks a side mount. So I bought the side mount for it the fram has three holes for the bracket and it seems as iff i need to drill a hole though the skirt board for it to go though into the bracket. Is this correct and if so what size hole do i need to drill and is there a rubber gromit that goes around the raw metal edge of the hole in te apron.

There is a rubber grommet that covers the gap. You should be able to measure the hole size required from the grommet. It might be wise to wait for the grommet until you enlarge the hole. Gar Williams

I beleive the info you need is in the Service Bulletins for cutting the hole in the splash apron. Don Turley also has a sure fire method that he shared a time or two on the Old Barn. Rod
