1928 Model A RPU Rear Spring

Had to remove the rearend from my 1928 Model A RPU and noticed the head of the center bolt was missing from the leaf spring. Looks like the u bolts have moved at some point. I have spring out now and was planning to clean it up and replace the hardware. My question is there is a bracket that goes between the u bolts on the later Model A rear leaf springs, will that fit on the early 28 u bolts?

Yes, it's called a spring clip bar, P/N A-5708 (27/32" thick) or A-5709 (17/32" thick) or A-5710 (11/16" thick)

Thanks katy, do I need to change the u bolts or should I to add that clip? I would rather not look up there in the future and think the u bolts have moved.
