1928 Coupe Trunk Handle

I have a 1928 Special Coupe that has a T-handle (w/round stop/medallion) on the trunk. I've read on this site that this is correct for this year. However, I have never seen a new replacement like this for sale... just the single handle. But, on ebay, there are some T-handles that profess to be NORS but do not have the round stop/medallion... they are the screw on type. Would someone please provide me with some information about this. Thanks-a-lot!

first no one makes a correct new T handle. anything that says NORS is a reproduction of the original. that being said put it on the wanted list on FB and maybe someone has one.

I don't know of any model A, except maybe some specialty bodies, that use the T handle with the type of mounting part that requires 2 screws like outside door handles. It sounds like you have the correct T handle used on 28 trunks and rumble lids. I have a 28 special coupe with the T trunk handle with the round stop like it sounds like you must have. I am not sure what your concern is.

I do not have a key and the lock has been damaged. Can I replace just the lock? Thanks for you reply/support. Saltman

almost all the T shaped handles alleged to be for a model a are in fact either a garage door handle or a camper shell handle
there are hundreds of different designs out there
here are two

Yep, Tom beat me to it, but that's exactly what I see all the time on ebay.
In fact I bought two of them from Menards for my small enclosed trailer I built 20 years ago.
