Welcome aboard Justin! Photos are almost essential in identifying and logging your progress on almost any job; I use them on cars, boats, Motorcycles, even landscaping. That, plus I just like to take pics!
One word of caution tho... get a 8Mp (+or-) camera and don't rely on a cell phone for any depth of scale or details. Get the pile of stuff out into the daylite, some details can be obscured by a shadow, believe it or not. Did you find the firewall yet? New and used are pretty readily available, but then right away youre on a quest for an essential part.
Be on the lookout for swap meets, as that's where you can find good stuff and "usually" meet people in the know. Theres always the know it alls as well so beware! Steve Jelf is gonna pipe himself aboard in a few minutes. He's a resident expert on the earlier models and can give you some stalwart advice on that firewall issue Im sure. He likes to post pics across the hall for the special ed kids LOL... theres too many self proclaimed experts over there for me; but as you know, Ive been a one man model T band for 50+ years. That's followed by a BIG LOL!
One other word of advice is when you find several similar parts in your pile, wire them together until needed. Theres a lot of left/right parts that you can interchange, then hafta take a ton of parts back off to reverse. Try to do it right the first time, and if in doubt, please ask questions. I know yer no dummy from speaking with you and I think youll have a blast and a real sense of accomplishment when your finished. Stay in touch, OK???? Bill
The last pic shows a hacked out steel firewall attached to some rotten plywood. A real butcher job, for a home made project. I actually trimmed and re-used it for whats called a hood former.
