1924 tudor value ??????

Hello friends.

I am unfortunately currently without a t presently.I sold my speedster last year and am now on the hunt for a family friendly model. I have a local lady with a 1924 tudor. The good is that it is in a garage and seemingly solid with nice original looking interior and acceptable paint.I say respectable because I plan on driving this as often as so I dont want a museum piece.I will replace the wiring as someone has monkeyed around. Frankly it is a t and wiring is too cheap to chance the investment burning to the ground.
The big bad is that the engine is presently locked up.I tend to not worry too much since the car has been kept inside and it ran before storage.

Does anyone have any opinions on what the present value of this auto is?
I know without pics it is a bit more difficult but believe me it is a very complete solid car.I just dont want to rip anyone off and dont want to be ripped off.
Any help would be great!

One thing to try, keep the car in high gear and manually rock the car back and forth. Sometimes the starter gets stuck in the flywheel and the engine won't turn.

oh yea,Thanks I had forgotten about that.I had that happen to my 23 one time.would'nt that be nice.I just wonder about the condition of the engine.I am a worry wort and probably at least pull the head to check it out.

I am thinking about weather or not to call the seller or not.Dont want to be too aggressive and bother her.BUT I am anxious to get the deal made...

Pics would be nice but in lieu of them I'd be in the 3 to 4 thou. area. The closed cars are traditionally lower in cost. Start out lower, say $2500. Use the locked motor as a lowball point. You never know. It could actually be locked internally for some reason and that leads to $$$$$$. Get the title. IMPORTANT! Check tire condition. Another big cost. The paint & interior sound fair. Tha's a +. Use your head. You've had one before so don't jump too fast.

This is the 50$ piece I started with last time.

trust me,I am not afraid of work, but want this one so the family can enjoy!

Well,I went and took another look today and discussed it over with seller.
It is a 1925,I am not sure how I screwd that up.
Long story short I offered 3k.. I looked at old car price guide and offered above #4 and below #5 value.I think it is fair since I had a chance to look it over and it will need a radiator, wiring, engine, fuel system(float bowl is rusted through from sitting), rear parking brake rods missing, pass door glass and windshield cracked, tires, and who knows what else.

she says she has others asking about it...and other offers...and "let me call you back".....I was disappointed to say the least! If she would just give an asking price...I do not like dickering.I either will pay the price or we are not even close. That is how I roll! She says she wants it gone...within the next 6 months but before winter...SO I am just going to let what ever happen that will .If it is meant to be it will happen....

I always retract my offer when this happens because they use your offer to boost other offers which then beat your offer and you lose anyway. I retract my offer or offer more, but never leave a standing offer when they play this game.

I don't blame either of you.honestly if someone wants to give more power to em.her son works for us and I am kind of over the newness of it so I am done calling her.if she wants to get it lut of her garage she can call me.I'm out

Well,if I can get some money rounded up I have the ol gal bought.the lady got back to me tonight.whooo hooo! Will post up some pics once she is home....

well...i was able to go get it tonight, earlier than i thought ! ya hoo

but it rained on the way home.have carpet out and a fan inside.

what do you think? not bad for 3k

The paint is not as nice as it looks. It is a good 10 footer. The interior is in good shape.
Top is good.needs 4 tires eventually but I think I can get by with 2 for a while.
King pins good, tie rod ends shot.needs most all window regulators worked on for one reason o ranother, going to replace all channels and 2 pieces of glass.doors need screws tightened up and possibly some adjusting.it is mabye a 70's or 80's fix up.will need work but for an 86 year old car I am very happy with my deal.

And I have not even gotten into the engine yet....wish me luck...

Does anyone know on this pass seat that folds forward to enter rear.Is there any rear support for the lower rear of it? I don't have anything but feel like something is missing.
If anyone wants I will post some more pics....
