1920 touring vs 1921 touring

Non-electric cars therefore no dash. As I believe all 1922's have dashes I've narrowed it down to 1920 or 1921. The only difference I can find in the MTFCI catalog is something to do with the rear quarter panels being 1 pc. or 2 pc. However I'm not clear regarding what they're talking about. Can one of the experts on this site clarify for me? Photos of the difference would really help. I'd be eternally grateful. I'd even buy the guy with the right answer a beer. I'd even share my 240 lb girlfriend with him if I had one. I'll even quit kicking the neighbors dog. Please help me.

Mike,

The 1920 rear quarters on a touring, have a bead line just above the rear fender that follows the curve of the rear fender. It also has a seam or bead line that runs vertically from about the crown of the fender to the top of the quarter. So basically the quarter is made up of a flat piece from the door to the beginning of the curve in the quarter that rolls to the rear panel. Then the curved piece. so the 20 has a 5 piece rear; 2 in each quarter and the main rear piece. A 21 has none of this and the quarter is one piece. So there is only 3 pieces that make up the rear. Come over to the house and I'll show you a picture. I don't drink beer, just Crown Royal and Coke, but my wife likes beer; and if she's happy.........

Thanks Andy,
So does that mean my 240 lb girlfriend is off the hook? I'll bring a Coke and a Beer. Since the last trip in my T the carburetor has decided to start dripping gas like it's got a stuck needle valve. I'll be taking it apart tomorrow morning and cleaning things up. I found this after I posted so the neighbors dog got kicked anyway. If time allows I'll call you tomorrow. I'm pretty sure now my T is a 21. Thanks for the information.

I met Eric at the show in Rochester. He was helpful in getting me as far as I got with determining the year of my T. Between you two and Jim L I'm starting to feel comfortable with my T ownership. Eric forwarded an MTFCI on my email and I'll be a member soon. What's in the plans for future events?

Thanks,
Mike
