Hi everyone.

I am part of a living history group who recently came in a couple of model T's for our shows. and Ive been looking for the tool kit as part of our display.
The kit I'm looking for is from the 1917 model. I'm not sure of any other details other than the drivers carried these kits with them throughout the first world war.

can anyone tell me what was in it
AND can anyone tell me where to get them (replicas are OK!)
thanks!

The tool kit for 1917 is a roll up vinyl like wrapper with slots sewn for the tools supplied with a new Ford. The tool roll can be had new at vendors for Model T parts, Lang's, Snyder's, Macs, check the internet for sites.

Tools are not made new except for the hub cap wrench, the flat one shown. Other tools, the little wrenches and pliers can be found at antique stores, swap meets, tractor shows, or eBay.

The listing of tools is from 1914, but would be about the same ones supplied in 1917. The other parts, oil can, jack and tire pump can be found, but you have to search for these a bit more.

Sometime in late 1917 was the first year for model T trucks (TT). I am assuming you mean a roadster car with the trunk removed and a pick-up bed installed in its place. If you mean TT, the rear end parts are larger and the flat wrench would be different and the jack would be heavier. Front end tools would be the same as a car.

Actually no. It was modified by the British army them selfs! thanks for all the info. Its pricelass to me! there are a few pics of the trucks on my profile if you want to look at it. we hope to add more in the next 2 to 4 years

Rellek, I had little computer problem, but I finally got access to your profile. That is a neat looking truck. It looks like it has the larger TT rear wheels in the pictures. IF it is a TT, the drive shaft enters the top of the rear end. The car uses ring and pinion with the shaft entering in the center of the rear end.

Thats exactly right! And we got about 5 others awaiting refits! these are very rare. but were common at the time and are still lying around in some european areas

Do your TT military trucks use the Ruxtell 2 speed rear axle? They seem to come up fairly often over here.

If you should need large parts shipped from Canada, I am in the process of assisting with the shipping of 2 GM transit busses and likely a container full of spare parts from Toronto, Ontario to a bus museum in Dublin. I am sure there would be room for some TT parts. If this is of any help fel free to PM me & I can put you in touch with the fellows in Dublin.
