I have a 1915 touring that does not have the support with the bolt heads in front of the rear doors. The toe board to the rear of the front seat is also flat. It doesn't have the re enforcing rib in it. It's been driving me crazy trying to figure out if someone put parts together or what? My body # is 7.15.273683 I read on another forum about another one like mine. Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks, Jeff LaCrone

Jeff,

Your car is a real 1915 touring. The body wood stamping markings 7.15 are the date the body was completed. It represents a date of July 1915. The 1915 model year ended July 31, 1915. Your car is built some time prior to the end of 1915 production. If you look at the metal panel below the front seat you will see a letter stamped there. If the car's body was built by Beaudette there will be a letter "B" stamped near top center of that heel panel.

Ford switched from bulb horns under the hood to electric horns on August 1, 1915. Your car would have been equipped with a bulb horn mounted to the firewall under the hood originally.
